14K GOLD

Metals or alloys such as copper or iron pyrite can be made to look just like real gold. So why pick 14K gold? Gold does not change color, rust, corrode or fade. Gold survives time.
Karat in most English speaking countries spells “carat” but in the U.S. carat is used to measure the weight of gemstones such as 1 carat diamond. The word carat came from ancient times when the seed of the carob plant was used to measure the weight of gemstones. One carob seed weighs about 200 milligrams.
Purity of gold is measured from 1 to 24. 24 karat (24K) is the purest form of the metal. So when you see 18K gold, it means 18/24 karat which is 75% gold and 25% alloy. More alloy, or lower gold content means the 'gold' jewellery is stronger as gold is naturally a soft alloy.
Jewellery with less than 14K is considered costume jewellery. Also you may run into the term 'gold plated' or 'vermeil'. Vermeil jewellery comes in two parts — gold coated on bronze, brass, copper or other alloys. (source : Funchic360)

AUTUMN LEAVES

The word autumn comes from the word automne in French, and was later normalized to the original Latin word autumnus. Before the 16th century, harvest was the term usually used to refer to the season. However, as more people gradually moved from working the land to living in towns the word harvest lost its reference to the time of year and came to refer only to the actual activity of reaping, and fall, as well as autumn, began to replace it as a reference to the season.
Autumn in poetry has often been associated with melancholy. The possibilities of summer are gone, and the chill of winter is on the horizon. Skies turn grey, and people turn inward, both physically and mentally. Rainer Maria Rilke, a German poet, has expressed such sentiments in one of his most famous poems, Herbsttag (Autumn Day), which reads,
Who now has no house, will not build one (anymore).
Who now is alone, will remain so for long,
will wake, and read, and write long letters
and back and forth on the boulevards
will restlessly wander, while the leaves blow.

There's so much beauty in the colours and shapes of this season and I can't help but echo this sense of melancholic reflection and emphasize the lush abundance of the season — here's presenting, Autumn Leaves...

Despite its name, moss agate does not contain organic matter and is usually formed from weathered volcanic rocks. (source : Wikipedia)
