It's in the air...the hustle & bustle...the preparation for the Chinese / Lunar New Year is here and one just can't ignore it. Everything is literally in RED & GOLD. On door posts, window displays - everything 'chee-na' (slang word for very traditionally Chinese) as we know it is hanging everywhere - in your face. I tollerate it this time of the year as it gets me in the festive mood of eating pineapple tarts and mandarin oranges and sipping endless tiny cups of Chinese tea while my once-a-year-seen relatives chatter away about everything from the economy to government policies and oh, the when are you getting married / when are you having kids / when is the 2nd kid coming questions... it's fun... right?!
